Welcome to Friday, March 13th, 2020.
An “off-season” event is planned for Friday, March 13, 2020! While this day won’t be a large event – nothing like the summertime events – there will be bikers who make a visit to Port Dover.
A few vendors will be located in the Elmer Lewis Parkette on Main Street. Of course, all the restaurants and bars will be open to welcome visitors to town throughout the day and into the night.
There are no street closures planned and no special parking requirements are in place for March 2020 event. There is no organized camping planned.
Remember, Port Dover’s shops are filled with great shopping and everyone is invited to do a little browsing while they’re in town.
Welcome to Port Dover on Friday, March 13th… hope you enjoy your visit.
A new RESIDENT DASH PASS was issued for Port Dover residents in 2018. It remains valid but not needed for the March 2020 event.
A Resident Dash Pass was sent to Port Dover residents with their water bills in May 2018. Although not needed for events in 2020, keep it in a safe place for next year. It remains valid until October 2023 so keep it handy (perhaps, the glove box of your car).
THE INFORMATION BELOW IS NOT REQUIRED FOR EVENTS IN 2020

“Resident Dash Pass” information for Port Dover residents on Friday the 13th…
What is Friday the 13th in Port Dover?
Friday the 13th in Port Dover is the largest motorcycle event in Canada. In good weather, thousands and thousands of bikes and bikers ride to Port Dover and tens of thousands of others visit Port Dover.
What is the “Resident Dash Pass”?
The “Resident Dash Pass” is a simple way to let Port Dover residents pass through police traffic controls on Friday the 13ths as quickly as possible. Residents place the pass on their dashboard allowing police to move traffic more quickly. (Anyone riding a motorcycle doesn’t need a pass.)
Is this “Resident Dash Pass” different than the last one?
No. A new pass called the “Resident Dash Pass” was issued in 2018 and it is valid until 2023. Older passes are no longer valid. The new ‘Resident Dash Pass’ sits on your dashboard rather than hanging from your mirror. But it works the same way… police can wave you through roadblocks more easily than requesting ID from every car and this helps keep traffic moving.
What if I lose or forget by Resident Dash Pass?
Your Drivers License showing a Port Dover home address inside the road blocks will allow you entry into Port Dover on Friday the 13th.
Did my old Resident Pass expire?
The current Resident Dash Pass was issued by Norfolk County with the May 2018 water bills for affected Port Dover residents and is good until 2023.
What day is the Resident Dash Pass needed?
Resident Dash Pass is used to help traffic flow on Friday the 13th only. No pass is needed to drive into town on Thursday the 12th or Saturday the 14th.
Where can I get a map of road closures in Port Dover?
The police always are concerned about safety and could close a street if that is required but a map of street closures for past events is at this link >> Oct2017
